The Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) industry has already seen cases where companies accepted pre-orders but failed to deliver on time. For a brand setting a benchmark in the Luxury LEV segment, honoring commitments is not just a requirement but a matter of principle.


At the same time, executing large-scale technological projects like Carbogatto requires synchronized progress across multiple fronts and consideration of numerous factors. Let’s examine the key ones:

1. Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) and Production Lead Times


Carbogatto operates across 35 manufacturing sites in 9 countries, managing a complex logistics network that does not allow for small production batches. The Carbogatto LR model consists of 365 unique components (831 including all screws, bearings, and other elements).

Manufacturing processes dictate the need for optimal volumes: every component goes through an intricate production cycle, eliminating the feasibility of low-quantity runs. For instance, CNC-milled parts require dedicated machining programs, and each part must be produced in a rational minimum batch before equipment is reconfigured for other tasks. Plastic components are cast in thousand-unit series, as are rare-sized tires, shock absorbers, batteries, and all circuit boards custom-designed by driveeco_electronics for Carbogatto LR. The same applies to custom motor housings and other bespoke elements.

Additionally, producing plastic parts necessitates numerous expensive molds, while serial production of carbon fiber elements requires not only high-cost tooling but also multiple shifts of highly skilled specialists trained in their fabrication.


2. Certification and Type Approval


Market entry requires type approval, which is only possible with a certified production facility compliant with ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems). Without this certification, the product cannot be classified as a vehicle, making its use on public roads impossible. Furthermore, without an appropriate classification code, the product cannot clear customs. Adherence to strict certification standards determines both market entry and product longevity.


3. Customer Service


A dedicated customer service department and service center are essential for working with clients. Establishing these requires substantial resources, including infrastructure, personnel training, and a comprehensive spare parts logistics network.


4. Product Presentation

A product at the level of Carbogatto demands high-quality content, including a thoughtfully designed online configurator. This necessitates professional photography of multiple production models in various specifications—just a part of building a strong market presence.

Carbogatto has successfully completed engineering development and all testing, reaching a stage where substantial and one-time resource injections are required. After the investment round is secured, an additional 6–8 months will be needed before the global presentation and market launch. This timeline precedes the official public offering of the Carbogatto LR model and the start of accepting customer payments.

Financial realities dictate that, even at this stage, financial institutions require proof of demand and revenue generation. This creates a closed loop—substantial investment is necessary for market entry, yet investors require proof of revenue before committing capital.


This is precisely why, in early 2025, Carbogatto launched its public Investment Round A, offering investors the opportunity to become part of a new chapter in the history of Luxury LEV. Following this, Carbogatto will open the door to public pre-orders and start accepting payments for the LR model, ensuring that only once all systems are in place will the company commit to customer deliveries.
